La Croix Meridionale - Ski chalet in the French Alps/Chalet de ski dans les Alpes Francaises

At the head of the Manigod valley and within minutes of the extensive ski fields of the Aravis resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, the nearest ski fields are at Croix Fry, Chalet de La Croix Meridionale (Chalet of The Southern Cross) is a brand new (completed Summer 2006) architect designed chalet. Situated at 1100m, the chalet sits under the mighty Etale massif with views up and down the unspoilt Manigod valley.

The Chalet is located a short 75 minute drive from Geneva airport and lies in the heart of the Haute Savoie. It is an even shorter drive from Chambery airport and Lyon and Grenoble airports are about 90 minutes away.

The chalet has four guest bedrooms (three double rooms and a bunk room sleeping four), each named after four local peaks, all visible from the chalet and situated on two floors, along with a separate staff bedroom. Three of the four rooms have their own power shower rooms and the fourth bedroom has its own spacious bathroom just across the hall. In total, up to 10 guests are accommodated. The layout of the chalet is ideal for groups of family and friends.

The entire middle floor is open plan with lots of comfortable leather lounges to curl up on and take in the spectacular views or watch the logs burn in our suspended fireplace. There is a separate TV room stocked with an extensive DVD library and lots of great novels.

After a hard day's skiing the chalet boasts separate sauna and jacuzzi rooms to help ease those aching muscles while your ski boots are warmed on our specially constructed boot warmer ready for the next day on the slopes.

The chalet has wi fi access for those who need to keep in touch with emails and the office.

Our ski chalet in the French Alps is designed to provide our guests with a fully gourmet catered winter holiday, whether for a full week or a weekend break. We look forward to welcoming you to the ski slopes of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand and to your snow home. Le chalet de la Croix Meridionale est situe dans la vallee de Manigod, a quelques minutes des pistes vastes des stations de ski de La Clusaz et Le Grand Bornand. La station la plus pres du chalet est Croix Fry, partie du domaine de ski de Manigod. La Croix Meridionale, un chalet tout nouveau (acheve en ete 2006) se trouve a 1100m d'altitutde, sous l'arbi du massif Etale et il beneficie de vues panoramiques magnifiques de la vallee de Manigod.

Notre chalet de ski dans les Alpes Francaises offre des sejours d'hiver du genre pension complete, soit pour une semaine soit pour un week-end. Notre cuisinier, Jon Harvey, etudiait au College de Westminster a Londres et a travaille a Claridges et Monte's, le premier restaurant de Jamie Oliver.
