The French Alps are a fabulous destination all your round and outside of the ski and summer seasons the chalet is available from ony 950€ per week, please contact us for availability.
The Chalet is a 60 minute drive from Geneva airport. It is an even shorter drive from Chambery airport while Lyon and Grenoble airports are about 90 minutes away.
Airport transfers can be arranged on request.
The chalet is let self catered but we can arrange for an excellent local chef to cook for you on a nightly basis.
We can also provide meals for you to reheat (this is a very popular option for the day of arrival).
We have local contacts for babysitting, child minding, baby equipment, grocery shopping etc
The chalet has free WiFi internet access for those who need to keep in touch with home or the office.
The entire middle floor is open plan with comfortable leather sofas to curl up on. You can take in the spectacular views or watch the logs burn in our suspended fireplace. There is a separate TV room stocked with an extensive DVD library and lots of great novels.
After a hard day's skiing / walking / climbing / cycling / sailing / shopping / sunbathing etc the sauna and jacuzzi rooms can help ease those aching muscles, or pamper and refresh those who need to indulge. We can also arrange in-chalet health treatments for you courtesy of a fabulous local masseur / beauty therapist.
The nearest ski slopes are at the Croix Fry sector of the vast La Clusaz ski area. Here there is an excellent ski school www.esfmanigod.com which has English speaking instructors. It's also possible to take a free ski bus to the neighbouring resort of Le Grand Bornand. The combined area has 220kms of pistes (96 ski lifts) and has runs for all abilities as well as some fabulous off piste areas.
The chalet is also only a short drive away from a number of fabulous beaches on the shores of the beautiful and majestic Lake Annecy where there are many summer activities including sailing, water skiing etc.
The chalet has five guest bedrooms which are situated on two floors; three double rooms, a twin bedded room and a large kids bunk room sleeping four. Each of the rooms is named after one of the local mountain peaks, all of which are visible from the chalet. Three of the five rooms have en-suite power showers and the fourth bedroom has its own luxury bathroom just across the hall. There is a fifth shower in the jacuzzi room.
In total, up to 12 guests can be accommodated (a maximum of 8 adults as the bunkroom is for children). The chalet is family friendly and has the space and facilities to ensure that everyone's needs are catered for.
Chalet de La Croix Meridionale (Chalet of The Southern Cross) was completed in 2006. Situated at 1100m, the chalet sits alongside the mighty Etale massif with uninterrupted views up and down the spectacular unspoilt Manigod valley.
The chalet has been designed to provide our guests with a welcoming and luxurious stay in one of the most beautiful valleys of the French Alps. Le chalet de la Croix Meridionale est situe dans la vallée de Manigod, a quelques minutes des pistes vastes des stations de ski de La Clusaz et Le Grand Bornand. La station la plus prés du chalet est Croix Fry, partie du domaine de ski de Manigod. La Croix Meridionale, un chalet tout nouveau (achevé en été 2006) se trouve a 1100m d'altitude, sous l'arbi du massif Etale et il bénéficie de vues panoramiques magnifiques de la vallée de Manigod.
