Where we are....

La Croix Meridionale is situated in the hamlet of Les Plans de Comburce approximately 5 minutes from the village of Manigod. The local town, Thones, is at the bottom of the valley, just over 10 minutes from the chalet. The lake at Talloires is a further 15 minutes and Annecy about the same time away.

By Air

La Croix Meridionale is 75 minutes by car from Geneva airport (serviced by BA; easyjet; Swiss; flyBE and jet2), 60 minutes from Chambery airport (serviced by flyBE) and about 90 minutes from Grenoble (serviced by easyjet and Ryanair) and Lyon airports (serviced by BA; Air France; Thomson, BMI and easyjet).

Having a car to access the slopes is essential and all major companies are located at each airport. For the best deal we suggest that you book through Holiday Autos. In the winter time you must ensure that you have booked snow chains.

By car

The chalet is an easy 8 hour drive from Calais. The drive from the Channel via Reims, Dijon, Bourge en Bresse and the outskirts of Geneva to the exit at Annecy Nord on the A41 is all motorway. For route planning you might like to try either the AA website or Map Quest. We suggest that you stay on the motorway past the Annecy turn off on the A40 and past Geneva then on to the A41 rather than taking the backroad through to Annecy. Once leaving the motorway at Annecy Nord follow the signs for Thones. Once in Thones follow the signs to Manigod.

Change over day

The chalet is normally available on a weekly package from Saturday to Saturday. Our local representatives will normally be available from 4pm to greet new arrivals. We would ask our clients to have departed the chalet by 10am on their final morning.

We can offer long weekend skiing packages outside of peak seasons, when the slopes are empty, and details are provided on the deal page. Given the proximity to the airports, you can get late flights on both Thursday and Sunday enabling three full days on the slopes and only the Friday off work.
